Yesterday, I did something unusually clumsy. I spilled a whole packet of kopi at my door step as I was fumbling with my keys. The splatter was everywhere. When it happened, I couldn’t believe that I was that clumsy. I closed my eyes and wished that it didn’t happen.
But it did. I had to squat down and stood up multiple times in the midst of a backache. It was not a happy thing.
Today, I did my usual round of getting kopi and teh. When I poured my coffee – safely – into my glass, I feel satisfied. Today I did not spill my coffee. That was a good thing. I have improved from yesterday. It’s nothing much, but it is better than the mess I made.
I have taken for granted the things that run smoothly in my life.
It felt good to get it back.
